Gallery Picture Rules

To Use This Gallery u must have a Valid Picture. Any ACCOUNT which does NOT conform to these Rules will be SUSPENDED until the problem is rectified. This is your ONLY Warning.

1. The picture must be of you and as recent as possible.

2. The picture must show your face. (Even if it's added in the corner)

3. No Porn/Baby/Child or generally nasty pictures allowed.

4. No Account Names that include profanity.

5. No heavy editing of pictures using paint shop etc, a little is ok.

6. No profanity pasted on pictures, even when censored.

7. The picture must be no bigger than 256k in file size.

8. If an image has copyright that is not your own, you must have written permission to use the image.

9. If a user makes abusive comments use the ignore feature first before coming to an admin.

10. If you are suspended don't make a new account, you will just get banned permanently.

11. During competitions like Mr. & Ms Netgamers, voter's votes will be subtracted if no valid picture is up or if an account gets suspended.

12. Posting the link to your picture is allowed on IRC. Channel owners that have a problem with URL's posted in their channels should take it up with the user and deal with it according to their channel rules.

13. The gallery staff will use their discretion if a problem arises which doesn't fall into these rules, our say is final.

14. If you suspect a user, or Admin of Abuse, please email antjie@ng-gallery.net and it will be dealt with as a matter of urgency.

15. We reserve the right to update or change these rules at anytime.

#Gallery IRC Channel Rules

*1 First and Foremost.. what the ops say goes. If you have a problem with the decision of an op then please discuss it with them in private. Public flaming is neither big nor clever.

*2 Excessive swearing is not permitted. Swearing should not be directed at any specific person or group of people. If it is felt you are swearing excessively then you will be asked to stop and further action will be taken if it continues.

*3 Flooding and Spamming is generally annoying to everyone in the channel. Spreading a sentence over 20 lines is also neither big nor clever. Ops can and will ask you to stop and take further action if neccessary.

*4 Discussion of Porn, Warez (pirate software) and other illicit activities is forbidden. Obviously there are times when these subjects may crop up in conversation.. That is not an excuse to spam the link to every .ISO on the planet. Users linking Porn, Warez and in fact anything else illegal can and will be banned without warning.

*5 Op-baiting is not a sport. If you push an op too far expect them to push back.. only thrice as hard.. and probably with a big stick.

*6 Linking your gallery page is fine.. it is the gallery channel afterall. Linking it excessively is just irritating and attention-seeking. You can be asked to cease doing so at an op's discretion.

*7 Suspensions from the Gallery are between the admins and the person in question. They're not up for general discussion and the admins do not have to tell you why a person has been suspended as this can lead to future problems. Please refrain from pushing such matters in the channel.

*8 Abusing other users is a bannable offense. There will be times when personalities clash and disagreements arise. If you can't keep it civil, then please take it to PM. Complaints of abuse should be emailed to antjie@ng-gallery.net, and will be taken very seriously indeed and action will be taken.

*9 Bots and triggered scripts serve no practical purpose and tend to irritate and annoy other users. Please don't bring them into the channel. If you just have to tell the channel what you're listening to.. then type it yourself and don't let your mp3 script do it for you..

*10 Posting links is generally ok, as long as it doesn't infringe the conditions laid out in Sections 4 and 6. Just keep it in moderation please. What exactly moderation is is up to the discretion of the ops and what they say goes.

*11 This channel is primarily an English channel, therefore English is the only acceptable language. Talking in other languages is annoying and often disturbing for other users.. you could be plotting against us... Please speak in English at all times, and think about all those poor Hamsters!

*12 Ops can use their discretion in circumstances which fall outside this set of rules. If you feel an op has acted inappropriately then please take it up with the op in question and then with his/her superior. If This ceases to resolve the situation please email antjie@ng-gallery.net with the details.

The Rules may be amended at any time with a majority decision from the channel ops.
